The marketing of Southland as a region in which to live, work, play, learn and visit is an integral part of Venture Southland’s activity. Communicating the positive aspects of the region to a variety of audiences, both within and external to Southland, is one of the key elements in ensuring long term prosperity. External perceptions have a significant influence on those considering coming to the region, whether it be a visitor, an overseas migrant family, a student, a business investor or an event attendee.
Southland’s regional brand underwent a revamp during 2007/08 and work will continue building this brand and using it to communicate with a range of target audience sectors including tourism, migration, business, education and lifestyle.
