Bought in 2013 our 1930's cottage is set on a quiet residential street only 10 minutes walk to the Stewart Island ferry and Bluff shops.
The cottage has three good sized bedrooms, wooden floors which we are polishing, original coal range, heat pump and plenty of electric heaters to keep toasty. The kitchen is fully equipped complete with dishwasher.
All the beds have freshly washed pure cotton sheets and electric blankets. Wake to bird song and sunrises. Access via the back door is two steps with a handrail.
We are looking forward to planting more natives around the section to encourage yet more Keruru, Bellbird and Tui that are so prevalent. For a quieter day board games, books and DVDs available to use while staying.
Bluff offers a gateway to explore Rakiura/Stewart Island, Fiordland, and the Caitlins or you may like to stroll on some of the many walks around Bluff or the historic township. The many beaches around the area have something for everyone - gemstones, history, surfing, collecting paua, diving, fishing. With Queenstown only 2 1/2 hours drive and Te Anau - the gateway to Milford Sound 2 hours Bluff is a perfect place to base yourself for a few days.
