Business Mentors New Zealand

Business Mentors New Zealand Limited is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the success and growth of small businesses through the knowledge and experience of our volunteer mentors.

Registered mentors are successful business people in their own right who offer knowledge and experience to support small business. Mentors impart their wisdom and experience to business owners, who may be struggling in a particular area or simply would like the opportunity to learn from the best.

Investment opportunities

Southland applies scientific knowledge to increase the productivity of its agricultural, energy and mineral resources, and to capitalise on its physical geography. The region’s topoclimate surveys provide a powerful knowledge base for investment opportunities in agricultural diversification to further develop high-value food processing. Southland is a highly productive region with just over 2% of NZ’s population producing 15% of NZ’s tradable exports. The businesses in the region are highly efficient, with strong Lean Manufacturing and Lean Dairy clusters.

Venture Southland works closely with NZTE to encourage investment into the Southland region by providing advice on and assistance with investment proposals and opportunities.
