South Alive Open Day
Join us on Saturday, June 23rd for a full day of fun at The Pod and The Pantry from 10am-3pm. We have heaps going on, starting with a Crop Swap at 10am on the veranda. Come down and make draught stoppers, visit with the Curtain Bank, help out with Boomerang Bags, learn how to make a bug motel or do simple home composting for the garden, find out more about the Arts team, and see where all the fruit and nut trees are around South Invercargill.
WasteNet will be down with a game on waste reduction—get involved and learn more about how to reduce your household waste! We'll have a juice bike available throughout the day, so come down for a ride and make your own juice! There will also be a Bouncy Castle, Sparks the clown and Fire and Emergency Services' fire truck for the kids, and a sausage sizzle!
Head over to The Pantry for slime making, healthy cooking demos with Raw Power Southland, and a talk by Elizabeth Chittock.
Keep an eye on our website, www.southalive.org.nz, for updates and a schedule of the day!
