The parade which some say is the "best in Southland" has many floats, cars, tractors and entertainment starting at Bligh Street and making it's way through the Town Centre. Of course Santa makes an appearance in the parade and is at Lions Park afterwards for photos and to be given letters with those most important present wish list.
The parade starts at 2pm and the floats are parked at Lions Park afterwards for everyone to have a close look at.
Fun in the Park
Before and after the parade is Fun at the Park. There are rides which are subsidised by Santa's Little Helpers at $2 per ride. This makes it an affordable day out for the family. There is also food stalls, chocolate wheel and entertainment. The entertainment is a show of talent in Te Anau.
Fun at the Park is held at Lions Park and begins at 12.00pm and runs until around 4.30pm.
