Grab your mates, your ute and dog, and join the first-ever GWD Toyota Hokonui Ute Muster.

Enter your ute, your dog and even your mullet and be in to WIN $500 for People's Choice, plus prizes for all categories. Road legal utes of all makes, models, ages and stages are encouraged to enter.

Join in and catch up for a laugh, a yarn and quality entertainment in support of rural mental health initiatives. Families and dogs welcome. 

Competition categories include:

• Best Turned Out 4WD double cab

• Best Turned Out 2WD double cab

• The most kilometres (Ute must be road legal)

• Best Dog in a Ute

• Best Classic Ute - pre 1980

• Best Street Ute - immaculate, gleaming condition

• Best Trade Ute - Ute decorated with equipment from a particular trade

• Best Rural Ute - decorated for the rural life

• Overall Winner - People's Choice

• GWD Toyota's Choice of the Day

• Best Mullet

• Bark up

When: Saturday, 29 May 2021, 1.00pm - 4.00pm 

12.30pm Muster and register at GWD Toyota Gore, 17 Hokonui Drive.

Overflow parking across the road at Gore Visitors Centre.

Tune in ute stereos to Hokonui 94.8FM for the official Ute Muster radio take-over. Turn it up! 

From 1pm: Parade Starts, heading down Main Street, Gore.

From 1.20pm: Parade Arrives at Gore A&P Showgrounds, Bury Street. Ready utes, dogs and mullets for judging. 

BYO food and refreshments for post-parade tailgate party. Food & coffee trucks onsite. 

2pm – 2.30pm: Public viewing and judging commences. 

3pm: Keep Hokonui 94.8FM loud for presentation and awards ceremony.

4pm finish. 

Where: GWD Toyota, 17 Hokonui Drive, Gore, then parade down Gore's Main Street to Gore A&P Showgrounds, Bury Street, Gore

Entry Cost: Gold coin donation per attendee and spectator. All proceeds to rural mental health initiatives in Southland. 

Competition Entry Fee: $5 per category.

Enter at your local GWD Toyota in Gore, Invercargill, Queenstown or Alexandra, email completed entry forms to or register on the day. 

All entry fees will be collected on the day.
