The "rude mechanicals", last seen bumbling their way through a performance in "A Midsummer Night's Dream" are back!  It's thirty years since Quince got the gang together and time hasn't necessarily been kind to them!  But they're keen to relive the good old days and what better way than a nostalgic trip through the Bard's best-loved works.  From Romeo and Juliet to King Lear, the mechanicals will give it all a go. One thing's for sure: you may not have experienced Shakespeare quite like this before....

This comedy of (many) errors  is a new work written especially for the annual Shakespeare in the Park season by Jade Gillies and Carla Wilson.  Starring a cast of local performing veterans, this show will be entertaining for all ages and no prior understanding of Shakespeare is necessary.

Come along an hour before the show with your picnic and enjoy a banquet-style meal under the trees or in the sun. We'll provide the table and chairs--you BYO food and family or friends.  A cash bar will operate and pre-show entertainment will keep you happy!

Shakespeare in the Park is presented in association with Venture Southland by the Shakespeare in the Park Charitable Trust.
