If you're new to New Zealand and English isn't your first language there is support available to you including ESOL training (English for Speakers of Other Languages) and courses that specialise in everyday English, academic English or workplace English.

English Interpretation services
Language line is a free telephone-based interpreting service used by many government agencies and some doctors and city councils. The service enables people who speak little or no English to access information and services from participating organisations.
