Our Brentleigh Homestead is a farmstay and fishing retreat on the banks of the Mataura River, famous for it's brown trout fly fishing. Located near Balfour, in the South of the South Island of New Zealand, Brentleigh is a 506-hectare (1250-acre) farm 30 minutes from Gore. Our farm includes 250 hectares of cereal crops such as wheat, barley, oats, and peas. The remainder grazes for sheep, dairy heifers, cattle and deer.
The homestead is set in a large, relaxing country garden. We grow over 1,000 paeony plants which flower in November and December.
