Built in 1875 by the celebrated architect Robert Burwell, the Lumsden Hotel is one of the oldest and grandest buildings in Lumsden. Located on the main street, we are an ideal base for accessing the range of activities available in Northern Southland, including trout fishing, tramping, cycling and sightseeing.
Our recently refurbished hotel combines old-world country hospitality with spotless, airy rooms, a generous guest lounge, a welcoming bar and a large, relaxing garden. Great food is available from our kitchen at almost any hour and picnic lunches can be provided. We have a great menu that includes bar meals and a pizza menu, and we also have a function room.
All of our warm hotel rooms have been tastefully decorated and have great views over the town or the surrounding country side. Hotel guests have access to laundry facilities, TVs and extensive DVD collection, WiFi, and our large parking area that can accommodate campervans, boats and more.
