The Oceania Track Championships is 4 day international event and is the highest ranked international Championships in track cycling after the UCI World Championships. This world-class event will attract elite international athletes to Invercargill to compete, giving locals a special chance to watch this high level of competition.

In its 63rd year, the iconic SBS Bank Tour of Southland is recognised internationally as a highly regarded gruelling multi-stage cycle Tour. The Tour engages Southland communities by taking the fast and colourful cycling action to the sport-loving people of the region. The eight stage road cycling event races throughout the southern region, and includes a stage into Fiordland, takes on the Devil's Staircase before finishing on Coronet Peak.

The Yunca Junior Tour of Southland is regarded as one of Australasia’s leading junior cycle races that caters for cyclists from under 13 to 19 years of age. First introduced to Southland back in 1984, the Yunca Tour continues to go grow and attracts more than 100 riders from throughout New Zealand and Australia. It has been a catalyst for many young riders’ cycling careers with several previous winners having gone on to represent their countries at the highest level of international competition.
