These 22 metre falls on the Tautuku River in the Catlins Conservation Park are often described as the most spectacular in the region.

Papatowai
At Papatowai, tucked away in the Catlins south of Dunedin, is a green house bus that's the studio of our artist-craftsman-tinkerer extraordinaire Blair Somerville. In here, you won’t know where to look first - quite wacko and brilliantly eccentric. If this gallery pleases the mind then our museum is a must-see. Wander through and explore all the quirky automata, wind-up and water-driven gadgets and gizmos that he has cleverly made from found objects — shells, toys, coins, wood, watches, wire — each guaranteed to make you smile with delight.
At the Little Rocket cafe, say hi to Carol and make sure you enjoy her divine coffee & titillating homemade bakeries
