One of New Zealand's iconic, most-photographed sights is these stunning three-tiered falls.
This tour usually runs for 8 hours (dependant on weather) and highlights many of the best features of New Zealand's stunning Catlins region; including a huge array of native and wading birds, along with an in depth narrative of the region's natural history. Included as part of this wonderful tour is a country picnic style breakfast and lunch.
Our local guide has 20 years' wildlife experience and has knowledge which is sure to impress, coupled with the ability to tell a great yarn when describing the region's natural history. You'll explore areas which are the habitat of Yellow-eyed Penguins, a range of wading and sea birds and also venture through the Catlins River & Valley Walk which offers a chance to see New Zealand native birds such as the rare Mohua (Yellowhead), Tui, New Zealand's Rifleman and a range of other native bush birds. You'll also explore Beech Forest, visit the Nugget Light House and are likely to observe New Zealand Fur Seals.
Guided tours are available to either individuals or groups of up to 8 people. We recommend wearing hiking boots for this tour.
