We offer comfortable self-catering accommodation on our coastal farm near Waipapa Point and Fortrose.
This was the "new" teacher’s house built at Fortrose in 1938 and is now a comfortable, historic, character guesthouse set in the privacy of our farm garden. The house provides one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, and extra beds - plenty of space! You also have your own fully-equipped kitchen, breakfast patio and a big lawn. There are electric blankets, linen, books, toys and games, original artwork, a Yunca woodburner, and heat pump, plus a trampoline, mountain bike and kayaks for your use.
Behind the house, green pasture land rolls down to the ocean. You have private access to a long stretch of deserted southern coastline, offering solitude and endless interest in the way of birdlife, rocks and shells. You can build a summer bonfire on the sand and watch the sun go down over Foveaux Strait.
We offer special rates for families, and a breakfast and evening meal may be available by arrangement.
