Pūrākaunui Bay & Campsite

Purakaunui Bay Road, Purakaunui

Sleep by the beach with an amazing view of sheer cliff faces and waves crashing onto the shore. The Department of Conservation's Pūrākaunui Bay campsite has 40 non-powered/tent sites on a scenic grassy area beside the beach. It has basic facilities including; long-drop toilets, water on tap, and assisted wheelchair access.

The stunning Pūrākaunui Falls and intriguing Jack's Blowhole are just a short drive away and there is a good surf beach south of the camp.
