An advanced tramping track leading from the Borland Saddle past Island Lake to the northern end of Lake Monowai in Fiordland National Park.

This enjoyable, short tramping track leads from the Borland Saddle through the bush to the open, tussock-covered tops of Mt Burns. The stunning alpine tarns (lakes) and spectacular, unique views are well worth the steep climb.
Plant lovers will enjoy the array of alpine plants including hebes, Spaniards (Aciphylla species), daisies (Celmisia species), Dracophyllum species and more.
45 minutes return tramping, this 1km track starts from Borland Saddle on Borland Road.
