There are plenty of hotels, motels, holiday homes, B&B’s and farmstays spread around Northern Southland, providing accommodation for every itinerary and budget. A particularly good way to get a taste of the farming heritage of the region is to stay at either the Nokomai Valley Lodge at Nokomai Station or the Dunrobin Station Farmstay. Peaceful camping is offered at holiday parks in Lumsden, Mossburn, Athol and Kingston, although those more adventurous might prefer the remote Piano Flat and Irthing Valley camping areas.
