Mores Coastal Loop Track

This track is part of the Mores Scenic Reserve. The reserve is located on Howells Hill overlooking the township of Riverton/Aparima. Tracks provide panoramic views of Foveaux Strait and features abundant birdlife. This area includes wahi tapu/treasured places for Maori and visitors are asked to respect this.

The Mores Coastal Loop Track is a 2 hour return track. It emerges from coastal forest and follows marker posts along the beaches and rocky outcrops of the southern coastline. The track is best walked in an anti-clockwise direction from the car park, returning via Kings Track. It is maintained to tramping track standard and may be muddy in places with some steep sections.
