The good folks here serve all the right stuff, from classic eggs benny to mouth-watering waffles, and their doughnut flavour of the week is a hit every time. The Batch Cafe

With fresh, local cuisine on the menu and tasty options in the cabinet, we have no doubt there will be something at The Batch that tickles your fancy. From chocolate berry brownies to caramel slices, muffins, and their famous scones from savoury cheese & bacon and jalapeno & chorizo to sweet orange & date scones (get in early, they sell out daily!) - all of their heavenly treats are made onsite. Check out their "Made in Murihiku" dishes, as they feature some of the best produce the region is famous for. 
 

The Auction House

Loved by locals and travelling foodies alike, you will find a flavourful and delicious breakfast at The Auction House, from healthy chia bowls and fruit salads to house-made pancakes dripping with maple syrup and big breakfasts containing all the good stuff. Their cabinet also offers a wide range of the most delicious delights if you need something quick and easy: amazing cinnamon scrolls, date scones, slices and cakes and much more.

Fat Bastard is a local institution, a Southland icon and made world-famous in Invercargill!

Housed within Classic Motorcycle Mecca, breakfast at Meccaspresso is a feast for the eyes and tastebuds. Enjoy a scrumptious Bikers Breakfast amongst quirky and unique decor packed full of motorcycles and motorcycle-related artwork. A visit to the toilet here will also surprise you...!

Brew'd

With dishes like brioche French Toast, balsamic glazed mushrooms, Belgian waffles and slow-cooked lamb hash, Brew'd serves a breakfast menu that's a welcome sight for grumbling stomachs. Located within The Langlands hotel, they open as early as 6.30 am; Brew'd is a great place for the early birds among us to start the day with a good morning meal.

A hole in Invercargill's market has been filled with fresh homemade bagels. Go for a classic bagel with your choice of flavourful homemade cream cheeses (there is a cream cheese menu!), try a bagel with bbq sticky pulled pork, apple slaw and coriander or go for a kiwi classic with marmite and grilled cheese.
