Trade Ready Accommodation

Te Anau and Manapouri are both lakeside townships and the main settlement areas within Fiordland. Both towns provide a relaxed atmosphere and a fantastic base to explore Fiordland National Park’s fiords, walking, hiking and sightseeing options. In addition to a broad range of accommodation and activities, Te Anau has the facilities to cater for meetings, conferences, and events.

Fiordland has a very wide range of accommodation. Lodge, hotel, motel and boutique properties provide a restful break in comfort and style, while home and farmstays provide a genuine New Zealand experience.

Te Anau offers over 4,000 beds to weary travellers so everyone can find accommodation to suit any budget.

Manapouri township offers a growing range of accommodation including B&B, backpackers, holiday park and campground accommodation. Many provide uninterrupted views of the lake and mountains for visitors to admire the lake’s changing moods.

While accommodation in Milford is limited there are great options with overnight boats, Milford Sound Lodge has stunning riverside chalets and a rainforest caravan parks. Be sure to book well in advance to take advantage of either of these options.

Along the Milford Road, you can stop at Knobs Flat or try to find a spot in one of the DOC campsites.

Wherever you choose to stay in Fiordland, it can get very busy during the summer (especially around February), so we encourage you to book in advance.
