What We Do

Visit Southland and Visit Fiordland are the Regional Tourism Organisations for the Southland region - covering Invercargill, Fiordland, Rakiura Stewart Island, The Catlins, Bluff, Gore, Western-Northern- and Central Southland.

The primary responsibility of Visit Southland and Visit Fiordland is to promote Southland and Fiordland to both domestic and international visitors. We work towards encouraging sustainable, year-round visitation through responsive and effective marketing campaigns.

Southland's Cruise Industry 

Want to get on board with Southland's cruise industry? Here's what you need to know: 

• Southland's peak season for cruise visitation is from November to March. The cruise schedule developed by the New Zealand Cruise Association will help keep you up to date with when the next cruise will be visiting Southland.
