Rhythm and Brews

Summer. A lake. Beer, wine, fine food and great music. Need we say more?

What better way to soak up some late summer vibes than at Te Anau Rhythm and Brews.

Put an awesome exclamation mark on your holiday season with an afternoon savouring amazing local music and craft beers from around the southern region, including several outstanding Central Otago breweries.

The cream of Southland’s original music talent is on show at the Fiordland Events Centre venue, and there’s plenty of familiar favourites cranking too.

Next event date: 20 January 2024
Location: Te Anau

People come from near and far to lap up the ultra relaxed festival feeling as beers, wines and fabulous Southland fare are served up.
Sway the afternoon away to the sounds of some of the region’s most talented musicians, and invited guests from further afield.

It’s a true Summer festival with people soaking up the atmosphere and chilling out in the majestic surrounds of the Te Anau Basin. Fall in love with a juicy hazy, stake your reputation on that hoptastic IPA, or maybe take your tastebuds on a journey with a tingly sour beer.

It’s the late summer treat you need - serving up a healthy dose of fresh air and magnificent craft beer concoctions.

Fancy a bite? There’s a fantastic array of food trucks serving up a smorgasbord of regional delicacies.

It’s a full town festival takeover as Te Anau embraces the Rythmn and Brews vibe. As the festival winds down, the bars and restaurants are beginning to hum with people ready to roll on into the evening - grab an outside table overlooking the lake, it truly doesn’t get any better than this.

You might even get the urge to take an afternoon or early evening dip in the crystal-clear waters of Lake Te Anau.

Te Anau is the hub of the Fiordland region and there’s a million and one things to do in every direction.

Stay for another day or two and be staggered by this World Heritage Area - with awe-inspiring landscapes and a wide range of recreational activities. It’s a world-class sightseeing destination and a must-do for anyone exploring New Zealand.
